Syracuse Center of Excellence

What Are the Benefits of Becoming a Member of the Syracuse Center of Excellence Federation?

The Syracuse Center of Excellence is a federation of more than 170 businesses and institutions that collaborate on sustainable innovations to improve built and urban environments—the places in which we live, work, and learn.

Federation members work on research, development, and educational projects relating to clean and renewable energy, indoor environmental quality, and water resources.

The work of the Syracuse Center of Excellence is to facilitate collaborations between industry and institutional members; to direct grants toward R&D, prototype testing, and commercialization; and to benefit Central Upstate New York by encouraging community stewardship of natural resources and by leveraging the region’s “green assets” to create sustainable jobs and wealth.

By becoming a member of the Federation, organizations have the opportunity to:

• Network with industry stakeholders and prospective clients.
• Connect to potential academic and/or industry collaborators.
• Gain access to premier facilities, research institutions, and world-renowned experts.

Within its federation, the Syracuse Center of Excellence recognizes:
